Absences from School

All absences and late arrivals from school require notification by parents or carers. This facilitates the accurate completion of the Register of Attendance in compliance with Government policies. http://www.education.act.gov.au/publications_and_policies/policy_a-z.  Absences can be notified by telephone on 6142 0640, by email to bonythonps@ed.act.edu.au , or in writing to the class teacher or front office.  Up and coming absences can be communicated to teachers via note or email.

Annual Medical form

Medical information and consent forms are sent home each year to parents or carers.  These need to be completed and returned to school as soon as possible.  These forms are required to be taken with children when they are attending sporting events or going on excursions.  To ensure that the information on this form is accurate and current, you are requested to advise the school immediately of any changes and arrange to update the form.

Arrival at School

The core hours for the school day for children are 9.00am-3.00pm (Kindergarten to Year 6) and 8.45am-2.45pm (Preschool). We recommend children arrive at school as close as possible to their start time. The Executive Team provides supervision on the school playground from 8.45-9.00am. If children arrive between 8.45am and 9.00am, they need to make their way to the basketball court and equipment area, weather permitting. At 9.00am, all children make their way to class. Children arriving at school after 9.00am need to report to the front office to be checked in. Any children arriving after 9.30am are required to be signed in by a parent or carer at the front office.
