School banking day is Wednesday. Students put their bank books in a grey wallet which is brought to the front office. The banking coordinator collects the wallets from the front office and processes the transactions. Bank books are returned to school on Friday by the banking office. They should be returned to students by Monday to be ready for banking again on Wednesday.
Before/After School Care
Before/After school care is organised and provided by Communities@Work. Children enrolled with after school care, proceed directly to the hall when dismissed from class. Before school care operates from 7.30am – until the school day begins. After school care operates from 3.00pm – 6.00pm. For further information and enrolment visit www.commsatwork.org or call 6293 6500.
All children riding to school should wear a correctly fitted helmet and walk their bike once on the school grounds. Bikes should be stored in the bike racks with a lock. Safety basics to remember are:
Wear a helmet. Helmets are compulsory when riding bikes and scooters and recommended when riding skateboards. Wearing a helmet will help protect your child against serious head injuries.
- Use protective gear and do cycle training to help protect your child against serious injuries – falls can and do happen.
- Teach your child to look carefully at the riding environment to decide whether it’s safe to ride.
- Give your child some practice in a safe area, such as your backyard or a park, before heading onto the footpath or road.
- Always make sure a grown-up is with your child while riding, until they are at least 10 years old – no matter how much they know about road safety and how good they are at riding.
